Do you have damaged slats on your Roller Shutter? Do you need to change your slat curtain? No problem, below we show you the process with simple steps!
Good to know:
AvosDim supply two types of slats in white PVC or aluminium available in a variety of colours, with perforated or non-perforated joins.
– 2 versions: perforated / non-perforated joins

Our demonstration is using a Renovation 'build on' type Roller Shutter, however it applies to any other type.
Necessary tools:
Step 1 : Remove the Roller Shutter box
Unscrew the two screws of the box using a Phillips screwdriver. You can now access inside your Renovation (build on) Roller Shutter. We recommend that you hold the box securely to prevent it from falling and getting damaged.
Step 2: Take the width dimension of the slats
While your roller box is open, you can measure the width of your slats from one side to the other, including the slat end alignment inserts if you have them.
Step 3: Take the height dimension of the current slats
Lower your Roller Shutter completely, ensuring the slats are locked tight together.
Measure from the bottom to the top of your visible slat curtain, excluding the bottom slat - add 200mm to take account of the slats still rolled in the box. Any excess slats can be easily removed if necessary.
Step 1: Take the width of the current slats
Place your damaged slat curtain on a table. Measure the width of your damaged slats from one side to the other, including the slat end inserts if they are present.
Step 2: Take the height dimension of the slats
Your Roller Shutter curtain slats should be locked tight together with no gaps. Measure from the bottom to the top of your damaged slat curtain excluding the bottom slat and adding 200mm to account for what remains rolled up in the box. Any excess slats can be easily removed if necessary.
Voilà, you have your dimensions in your pocket.
Now you can report your dimensions on our online configurator and order in minutes. As simple as that!
You can then follow our « Replacing slats on a domestic roller shutter » guide to complete the process.
