Our demonstration applies to the Renovation Roller Shutter (with self-contained box) but also applies to other types of configurations.
Necessary tools:
Unscrew the two screws from the box section using a Phillips screwdriver. This gives you access to the interior of your Renovation Roller Shutter. We recommend that you hold the box securely to prevent it from falling and thus being damaged.
– Release the curtain from the roller tube by gently unfastening the flexible curtain clips. We advise to wear gloves for this procedure.
– Remove the 2 curtain clips.
– Carefully raise the Roller Shutter curtain under the roller tube.
You can do this yourself by putting one hand under the curtain or with the help of another person depending on the configuration of the shutter, and roll up the slats of the curtain as you go.
The damaged roller shutter slats are removed, and the first step is complete.
You can order a new slat curtain on our website, with the same dimensions as your previous one, and simply switch it over following these steps.
Do not hesitate to consult our Buying Guide on Taking the measurements of the slats of a roller shutter to easily take the dimensions of your new slats.
Gently pass the new curtain under the tube to avoid scratching it on the tube, or over the tube while protecting the underside.
– Reattach the curtain clips on the tube of the Roller Shutter,
– Roll up and unroll your Roller Shutter manually so that the winding of the curtain in the tube is optimal,
– Test and readjust tension — if necessary.
– Screw the box section back on using the two screws previously removed.
Voila, your new slats are installed!
It's that simple!
