Functionality
Wired switch control motors are intended to be operated via a hard-wired switch, unlike RF remote control motors which operate via a wireless control point / remote control. Their affordable prices allow everyone to enjoy the comfort of an automated shutter. A wired motor can be associated with any brand of switch intended for roller shutter operation (one which has up, down and stop controls).
Configuration help
Choose the right power:
The power of the motor is chosen according to the weight of the shutter slat curtain. This is calculated by taking the height and width measurements of the visible slat curtain.
Calculation formula
width * x height * x (weight per m & sup2 **)

** estimated slat weight: PVC (4kg / m²), aluminum (4.5kg / m²), wood (11kg / m²)
1Nm lifts approximately 2Kg. Refer to the most suitable power.
Our advice: If in doubt go for the more powerful motor, underestimating can lead to irreversible failure that is not guaranteed. Ensure recommendations are respected to preserve the life of your motor.
Somfy replacement
This wired motor is unique in being compatible with all Somfy supports for Ø50mm motor (sold separately). If you are replacing a Somfy motor, you can keep your current motor supports for ultra-fast replacement at no additional cost. On the other hand, the adapters required are AvosDim brand, and can be added to your order easily.
